This year’s San Diego Comic-Con may be over, but there are still plenty of announcements making their way out from the show. For instance, as part of a panel called “Faux Fun to Real Rock”, Harmonix and MTV Games announced more artists that will be appearing in their upcoming titles Rock Band 3 and the Xbox 360 exclusive Dance Central. Among those names were Marilyn Manson, Def Leppard, The B-52s, Salt-N-Peppa and more.
The added artists, including tracks, are:
Rock Band 3 tracks:
- Marilyn Manson – The Beautiful People
- Filter – Hey Man, Nice Shot
- Foreigner – Cold As Ice
- Def Leppard – Foolin’
- The B-52s – Rock Lobster
- Tears For Fears – Everybody Wants To Rule The World
Dance Central tracks:
- Snoop Dogg – Drop It Like It’s Hot
- Salt-N-Pepa – Push It
- Young MC – Bust A Move
As is the case with most, if not all, track announcements, all of the tracks listed in this announcement are original master recordings. Does the Harmonix team really need to do covers anymore? I think they’ve proved their worth quite sufficiently.
